With my Z32 slowly becoming an all-out autoX/roadcourse car, I've been daydreaming about what to do for my next goal, reach 9 seconds in the quarter. I'm definantly not going to attempt this in the Z, too costly, not the easiest car to repair and I've already decided what I want her to become. I'm looking for opinions on what you guys think is the best platform to get into the 9's with. Ease of modification and price are big factors. Something along the lines of 5.0 mustang, f-body, old jap car with an engine swap, something cheap with alot of parts. Although a V8 is most likey the cheapest route, I really want something with a turbo inline engine, simple and easy to "boost" power. 1JZ celica anyone? Any opinions/advice are appreciated fellow TT.net members.
